Sandstorm's dam, Zannou B, previously produced the international Small Tour horse Peanut (s. Painted Black) of Frederik Van de Keere and Sandstorm is a half-brother of the ZZ-Zwaar (5th) dressage horse Jerdeaux (s. Ferdeaux). Dam Zannou B is a half-sister of the successful Small Tour horse Oronia (s. Jazz) of Madeleine Witte-Vrees. Thus Sandstorm shares the same grandam as the international Grand Prix horse Vontango B (s. Contango), the KWPN approved international Small Tour stallion Don Tango B (s. Contango), the Oldenburg and Westphalian approved stallion Antango du Feuillard (s.
