Handsome 7-year-old grey mare, D-pony

This is SONJA, a sweet but somewhat one-person-oriented grey mare, 7 years old (2019) and 1.43m tall.

Sonja has been with us for 2 years now. During this time, she has participated in some riding school lessons, competed in local shows, and had a foal (Jack Dmv, 2025).

She has since been brought back into work and is in superb condition!

We are looking for a rider for Sonja who wants to invest in building a bond with her.

Under saddle, she is a very pleasant and easy pony with a lot of potential, but she needs clear handling on the ground.

With the right person, she is a real cuddler, and that’s why we want her to find a permanent owner where she can truly thrive!

She enjoys jumping and isn't easily spooked. Sonja is also well-acquainted with various groundwork exercises and double lunging.

She has been on a few trail rides with us. She is well-behaved but can get a bit "hot." She prefers to lead the way.

She enjoys being outside in a group and gets along well with most horses.

We would prefer her to be in a place where she can spend a lot of time outside; she is currently kept in a turnout stall and clearly does better there than in a standard box. She can also live outside 24/7.

Because Sonja is not the easiest to handle on the ground, she is not suitable for a beginner rider.

Our preference goes to people who would like to visit more than once. We are looking for a truly good match, and she is not in our way.

Properly vaccinated and dewormed, and up to date with the dentist and farrier.
Chipped and in possession of a Dutch passport (pedigree unknown).

Vetting allowed, at buyer's expense.
