Willem MK is a magnificent and promising colt foal by Potorico VDL (Cornet Obolensky x Argentinus) out of the Elite mare Iwottie (Quaprice Bois Margot x Casco). An interesting showjumping-bred foal combining a modern sire line with a proven dam line full of sport and quality.

Proven dam line

Dam Iwottie has already proven her value in breeding. Her first offspring, Maharadja-W (Cohinoor VDL x Quaprice Bois Margot), competes successfully at 1.40m level. Her second offspring, Rhapsody CS (Inaico VDL x Quaprice Bois Margot), is active in Ireland, building further on her sport career.

Willem MK’s grandam has also amply proven herself in breeding. This preferent prestatie mare produced no fewer than five offspring who have performed at international level between 1.30m and 1.50m. Her offspring also include the approved stallion Dominicus-W. In addition, she produced two Elite daughters, including Willem MK’s dam, Iwottie.

With the blood of Potorico VDL combined with this strong performance family, Willem MK has everything going for him to develop into an interesting sport horse for the future. He is therefore particularly interesting for anyone looking for proven sport genes, quality, athletic ability and a strong dam line.

Willem MK is also pleasant to handle. He leads well on a rope and is used to having his feet picked up.

About our breeding

We are Mart Kruithof and Marinde Koopman. A few years ago, we took over the breeding from grandfather Jan Kleene. What once started with grandfather, we continue with great pleasure and passion.

On a small scale, we breed showjumpers as a hobby. For us, breeding is not just about a nice pedigree on paper. Every year we try to breed a foal in which three characteristics come together for us: character, quality and athletic ability.

We follow our foals with great pleasure from their first day of life and hope to give them a good foundation for their further future in sport or breeding.
