Smart buckskin New Forest pony mare

It is with mixed feelings that we are looking for a new, wonderful home for our handsome, talented New Forest buckskin mare. A true dressage star.

She has had 1 foal in the past, has competed at Z2 dressage with her previous owner and jumped 0.90m in the past.

She is very well-mannered, very pleasant to handle, loads easily, and is very relaxed on the trailer. Well-behaved under saddle too, though she can be a bit spooky, but an experienced rider easily rides through that. Due to her alertness, she makes the best combination with an experienced rider, no beginner. Not jumpy or prone to silly antics, just a true sport pony, enthusiastic and talented.

In terms of dressage, our 11-year-old daughter gets along very well with her. She has really grown in her riding thanks to the pony. Jumping, on the other hand, does not click. The pony enjoys jumping but also finds it very exciting at the same time, needing an experienced rider who gives her confidence. Our daughter cannot give her that stability and security. That is where the shoe pinches here, because our daughter does want to jump.

The pony moves very well, has 3 very good paces including an outstanding extended trot.

Her vaccinations are up to date, she has nice dry legs, is well-behaved with the farrier and also social with our other horse (not dominant). She is very content both in the stable and in the field. Here she also stayed outside at night in the summer, which she was also fine with. She is truly a sweetheart, a cuddler, an honest pony. That did not make the choice necessarily easy.

We had her clinically examined upon purchase. Approved. Re-inspection is allowed at the buyer's expense.
All other inspections allowed at the buyer's expense.

The price includes a bridle, her good thick winter rug with neck cover, and a fly rug and fly mask for the summer.

Her very nice Busse dressage saddle (custom-fitted to her) can potentially be purchased for an additional price.
