With a lot of love, we are looking for a nice, permanent home for Maxwell, our 2017 gelding (Hardwell x Guidam).
We have known Maxwell since his birth. We bought him from his breeder and he is still stabled there. Because he is much more than just a horse to us, we are very deliberately looking for the right person. No rush, but a place where it truly feels right.
Maxwell has mainly been ridden in dressage and has L1 with 9 points. In dressage he can certainly hold his own, but his true passion lies in showjumping.
Because his current rider is a bit anxious with showjumping herself, we have decided to look for someone for Maxwell who actually gets a lot of pleasure from this and can guide him further in this.
Maxwell is bred for showjumping and comes from a fine showjumping line. He still has little course experience, but has jumped a small course a few times with another rider. In doing so, he showed that he is faithful, willing to work and enthusiastic, and has a lot of natural aptitude.
In handling, Maxwell is an honest, sweet and affectionate gelding. He loves attention and cuddles, and is as good as gold both in-hand and under saddle.
He can sometimes be a bit insecure and therefore needs a clear, consistent and experienced rider who gives him confidence and respects his boundaries.
At the age of three, a small cyst in a hind stifle was discovered during an X-ray examination. Maxwell was operated on for this, in which a screw was placed in the cyst to have it fill up and repair the weak spot.
The surgery went very well and the follow-up X-rays a year later were good. Ever since we bought Maxwell, we have never experienced any hindrance from this during riding or training.
His medical records are of course available for serious interested parties.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who enjoys alternating between dressage and showjumping, wants to grow together with Maxwell and have fun in further developing his showjumping talent.
An ambitious rider is certainly welcome, for example someone making the transition from pony to horse. The most important thing for us is that Maxwell becomes a long-term horse and not a horse for trade.
We are in no rush and take the time to find the right match.
Price is negotiable for the right click and a good home.
Maxwell does not need to find the perfect rider.
He simply deserves the right one.
