D-pony with a fine character - experienced schoolmaster for young and starting showjumper
Description
Due to stopping our hobby we are offering our 20-year-old Deutsche Reitpony gelding of 148 cm.
A pony with a lot of experience, a fine competition career and above all a fantastic schoolmaster for a young beginning showjumper.
Our daughter learned to showjump with him and built up a lot of confidence and experience thanks to him. They showjump 90 cm at competition, regional and national level. With his previous rider he has showjumped up to 1m10, so he has a lot more showjumping experience than what he currently shows with our daughter.
- 20 years old, but still fit and active
- Showjumps courses of 90 cm
- Participated in Jumping Mechelen
- Placed multiple times at competitions of the Gouden Laars
- Lots of competition experience
- A true schoolmaster for a young rider
Versatile: not just a jumping pony. He is also a wonderful pony outside the arena.
He goes out on hacks alone and is not afraid in traffic or on the street. He also goes along to pony camp and can therefore handle new environments and situations well.
He is suitable for someone looking for an experienced pony to learn and showjump together, go hacking and experience fun adventures. He offers confidence and peace of mind.
Character:
In a group of horses he is rather submissive and social and he definitely does not look for trouble.
He is willing to work, forward-going and obedient.
He loads easily into the horse lorry and is well-behaved with the farrier and vet. He is currently shod on all four feet.
His care has always been well-monitored: he receives annual dental care, is always correctly vaccinated, and chiropractic care.
One point of attention: he does not like to be completely enclosed without view/contact. He feels most comfortable when he has a view of his surroundings or other horses. We naturally take this into account.
A pony that we would love to entrust to the right person and environment.
He taught our daughter to showjump and gave her a very fine pony time. Therefore we are not looking for a quick sale, but a suitable home and rider where he can fully enjoy the rest of his life.
No dealers or riding schools.
Serious candidates are naturally welcome to get acquainted and view/ride him.
