8-year-old high-quality dressage mare
Description
For sale: Naila Winoa
Naila is a high-quality, hard-working 8-year-old chestnut mare with a proven sport and breeding pedigree.
Height at withers 167 cm
Pedigree: Winningmood x Jazz x Flemmingh
Naila Winoa is bred from the proven combination Winningmood x Jazz x Flemmingh. Her dam Winoa (Jazz x Flemmingh) is a mare that has more than proven her qualities. As a three-year-old, she became overall dressage champion at the Central Mare Inspection in Ermelo, achieved excellent results during the IBOP test, and represented the Netherlands at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.
The damline has also proven its value in breeding. Winoa has produced, among others, the licensed stallion Leopard M, later known as Blue Hors Livius (Gotcha-Utopia x Jazz), who was purchased by Blue Hors after his licensing and is approved for multiple studbooks.
Naila Winoa is therefore not only an interesting horse for dressage sport, but also for breeding. A mare with a proven damline in which sport, conformation, and performance come together.
Naila Winoa stayed in the herd with the breeder until she was six years old and was therefore backed later in life. She possesses three above-average basic paces with plenty of suppleness and remarkably high aptitude for dressage sport.
In handling, she is an exceptionally honest and reliable mare. She is friendly, easy in daily care, and at competitions she can be loaded, unloaded, or saddled up alone without any problems. She is good to handle at the farrier and vet.
Under saddle she shows a different aspect of her character. She is very honest but hugely eager to work and possesses a lot of go, sometimes rushing herself. The challenge is therefore not in learning the exercises – which she picks up easily – but in creating relaxation, balance, and quietness. For this reason, I am looking for an experienced and tactful rider with an independent seat, quiet hands, and the patience to further develop her confidence and relaxation. With an experienced rider who knows how to convert her eagerness into relaxation, she has the qualities to progress to higher-level dressage work.
I have trained her myself with great pleasure and competed her in dressage sport, although not systematically. She has done a few competitions up to L1 level, during which I experienced how much natural aptitude and quality she possesses. I achieved good results and could clearly feel her potential, but there were also times when things went less well and I found it difficult to release the tension/eagerness.
The challenge with Naila is not in learning the exercises, but in further developing relaxation, balance, and self-carriage. I notice that I am hitting limits in this regard and do not possess the experience and riding skills to bring her further to the level she is capable of. Because of this, I have decided to sell her.
Although she has never been competed in showjumping, she also shows a nice jump over fences.
Naila had a full clinical and X-ray pre-purchase exam 4 years ago, including neck and back, and has no stable vices.
I am looking for an ambitious, experienced rider who knows how to utilize the qualities of this mare. For someone who can give her the quietness, time, and correct guidance, Naila is a horse with exceptionally high potential for the future.
Since Naila Winoa is not suitable for every rider, I am looking for an above-average rider who wants to further develop her qualities.
