Skittles, all-rounder pony, mare, 4 years

Skittles is a sweet mare, born on 10 April 2022. She has now been under saddle for about 6 months and takes everything very well in her stride. She is curious, willing to work and enjoys learning new things together with her rider.

She loves going out on hacks, both alone and with other horses. Sometimes she still finds certain things a bit exciting, which is not surprising given her age and experience. With a buddy along, she practically bats an eyelid at nothing. She has also already carried a rider with only one year of riding experience on multiple occasions and remained very well-behaved.

Skittles has now been to a cross-country competition twice, which she handled exceptionally well. She really enjoys showjumping, clearly has a lot of fun doing it and also shows a lot of aptitude and talent.

She currently finds dressage a bit more difficult, mainly because she still needs to develop her balance further. As a result, she sometimes falls in on her inside or outside shoulder. With a good rider, this is easy to work on.

She has no parents listed in her passport. The previous owner told us that her dam was a New Forest pony.

Furthermore, Skittles is:

- Almost completely traffic-safe.
- Rideable both with saddle and bit and without saddle and bitless.
- Accustomed to various situations and not easily impressed if you do something silly.
- So well-behaved that you can, for example, stand on her back and slide down past her hindquarters.

Skittles currently lives outside 24/7, but can also be stabled at night. She goes barefoot and therefore has no shoes.

Her teeth were recently checked by the vet, she was vaccinated on 20 May 2026 and recently dewormed.

Despite her lovely character and good attitude, due to her age, limited training and the fact that she is still green, she is not suitable for a beginner rider. Therefore, we are looking for someone who wants to continue training her in a calm and pleasant manner.

She recently passed a pre-purchase exam with x-rays.
